Toto is usually a fictional Canine in L. Frank Baum's Oz sequence of kids's books, and functions derived from them. He was originally a little Yorkshire terrier drawn by W. during the amazing Wizard of Oz, Baum didn't particularly point out Toto's breed, but wrote "he was just a little black Canine with prolonged silky hair and compact black eyes
